The Sierra Leone Fellowship of Evangelical Students (SLEFES) is the national movement of Inter-Varsity (IFES) and ministers to hundreds of students each year through conferences, training sessions, and through weekly Bible study groups. Francis Williams has been the general secretary (CEO) of SLEFES for the past 15 years. This lovely family photo shows his wife Fera and their children, Dalton, Ina & Augustine. SLEFES is one of SAVE’s four special partner ministries. Read more, click here for SLEFES Newsletter.

The tragic 10 year long civil war in Sierra Leone came to an end in 2002. Thankfully there is now peace throughout the country but the needs are great. This workshop shows the manufacture of artificial limbs for amputees from the war. During the spring 2008 visit to Sierra Leone, SAVE Board members visited this site.

The main topic on the agenda during the SAVE Board meeting of March 2008 was consideration of future projects in Sierra Leone. Members seated (L to R) are Mike Gardner, Chris Follman, Radcliffe Jones, Rosetta Cherif, Sandy Pedrick, Don Miller, and on the floor (L to R) are David Musa, Mike Chapel, and Brian Bowen.
